With the help of a colleague I have just calculated my stride length, it's 2'4".
So far, just today, I have walked over 2 miles! That's just going about my normal work!!!! Wow! Today is a slow day too, I might get there faster than I imagined!!
I'll total up my full distance so far later on tonight.

I'm not familiar with your measurements though, 17 inch is 1.4 feet according to an online converter...
I still need to measure the stride length from walking outside (those are longer).
